Insomniac Games has been responsible for the development of numerous cult licenses such as Spyro. You probably know the little purple dragon, at least by name. His adventures began on PS1 and many sequels followed. Then the franchise passed into the hands of Activision, who produced Skylanders. Finally, a compilation of remakes of the first three games was released in 2018, and since then there has been complete calm. We therefore see that it has been a long time since we were presented with a new title entirely dedicated to Spyro. But that will obviously change soon.

We saw a patchwork montage of photos from the studio, an image from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, but most of all… Spyro. Does this mean a new game is in the works? We are not safe from a new remake, as was the case in 2018. We’ve already said it above, but there were a lot of Spyro, and it’s likely that the studio will revisit them. On the other hand, fans have to prepare for another possible change. Yes, Microsoft has completed its acquisition of Activision-Blizzard, which means it owns the license. Will the next game be an Xbox exclusive? We cannot comment on this at this time, but it is a possibility that should not be ruled out.
