Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions have entrusted Takashi Doscher with writing Ghost of Tsushima. A chambara expert and player since childhood.
Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions don’t want to rush the Ghost of Tsushima movie. As a result, the adaptation is slowly but surely moving forward, and it just found its screenwriter. It will be Takashi Doscher, a more intimate filmmaker, who will be collaborating with director Chad Stahelski (John Wick).

To support Chad Stahelski (John Wick), who is responsible for bringing the universe created by Sucker Punch to the big screen, Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions have turned to independent cinema. The two entities are actually targeting Takashi Doscher. The young man notably directed Only, where he was able to direct Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire, Planet of the Apes).
But if he was hired to write the Ghost of Tsushima film, it was probably because of his passions. In response to the article by meeting who revealed the message, he manifested his love for Chambara and video games

As a reminder, Chad Stahelski, Alex Young and Jason Spitz will produce the feature film with their company 87Eleven Entertainment. Asad Qizilbash, Producer at Carter Swan at PlayStation Productions commented:

It’s still unclear who will play the lead role. But if Sony Pictures is ever up for it, the Jin Sakai actor can reproduce the scenes of him bathing naked in the hot springs.
