In just a few days, the time has come: The First Descendant is due to be released at the beginning of July. The new loot shooter from the Korean studio Nexon confronts you in the role of a descendant of the title with an invasion of the nasty Vulgus. Only you are able to protect humanity. You can play the whole thing either alone or in online co-op. The fifth iteration of the Unreal Engine ensures the appealing visuals. In the course of the mission shown, we explore a ruin occupied by the Vulgus and recover an artifact of the so-called ancestors. The story is cryptic, as is typical for the genre, but is less of a focus in a loot shooter anyway. Instead, the gameplay consists largely of sending the hordes of enemies that spawn everywhere to the afterlife as effectively as possible. If you expect more, you’re probably out of place with The First Descendant. The First Descendant will be released on July 2, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X/S.
