Those who are hesitant to pick up paramount plus Already subscribed but want to try Knuckle Lucky you, because the first episode is available to watch for free on YouTube.
An increasingly common tactic to attract new subscribers to streaming services is to release the first episode of a series for free, which is exactly what Paramount did with Knuckles. You can watch the entire first episode from start to finish for free on YouTube as long as you’re in the US (it’s not available in the UK, nor does it represent other territories). The episode was uploaded earlier today, but there’s no indication how long it will last. Your mileage may vary, but typically these aren’t available permanently, so if you do want to watch it without a Paramount Plus subscription, now is the best time.
It’s probably a blessing too that it’s free because aside from the incredibly weird fourth episode I still can’t figure out if it’s actually good or bad, and the first episode is the best one ( Yes, that’s because Sonic and Tails are in it, why you ask). Seriously, the rest of the show is… not great, to put it politely – our own Dom describes it as some kind of fever dream, and as an assessment, I certainly agree with that.

For those of you who may not even be aware that the Knuckles series exists, the show takes place between the second film and the upcoming third film. The story follows the echidna as he trains somewhat bumbling police officer Wade Whipple in an attempt to help him become a warrior. Sonic 3 will be released later this year on December 20, and the film’s producers say it “borrows a lot from Sonic Adventure 2.” On top of that, it’s been reported that the true Ultimate Life Form, Keanu Reeves, will play everyone’s favorite capital-E Edgehog, Shadow.
