King Charles unveiled his first official portrait since his coronation earlier this week, and, well, he just kinda looks like Elden’s Ring boss.
I’m not quite sure who told Charles that the artist behind the first portrait of the king made him look like he was being engulfed in hellfire, but that’s pretty much how it turned out. If this painting had been drawn by someone other than a member of the royal family, I would honestly say it was so disgusting, heck, I would have gladly been painted in a way that made me look like a scary boss from a video game. It’s just, when you’re actually the King of England, well, first of all, it might not be tonally appropriate, but you’d better be prepared to have it taken away from people.Of course, a lot of people were quick to have it, with some online users quick to point out the amount of it Looks like a portrait from the Dishonored series.
Of course, someone has already modified Charlie’s new portrait for Dishonored (thanks PC Gamer). As Timo demonstrates on YouTube, the mod simply acts as a simple texture swap, replacing the Prince Regent’s photo with a photo of King Charles. Like many of the paintings in Dishonored, you can also take it yourself, although I’m not sure if that counts as treason, so maybe it’s best not to? Still, it was a lot of fun this week on the hellish website known as Twitter, certainly better than the usual banter.

On a less interesting note, last week Arkane Austin, the sister studio of Arkane Lyon, the team behind the Dishonored series, was shut down by Microsoft. Austin is the man behind the absolutely incredible and underrated Prey, whose second and final game was the disappointing Redfall, a game that unfortunately now looks set to remain in limbo forever .
