Many PC gamers haven’t even been able to enjoy the best sword fights of the year so far: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was released with abysmal mouse controls. The action game drew the ire of Steam users right from the start, the ratings are currently at a meager 40 percent. But a patch should remedy the situation.
With update 1.03, control with mouse and keyboard should finally work, and the patch should also fix many annoying bugs. We introduce you to the most important changes, the complete patch notes (in Europe) can be found on page 2.
What does update 1.03 change about Wo Long?
camera improved
If you play the game with the mouse instead of a gamepad, the camera no longer behaves like a drunk boggart. Hopefully the motion sickness that many Steam players have been complaining about will now be over.
Less crashes
According to the patch notes, the game should now crash or freeze less frequently. The annoying white flickering that sometimes occurred is also said to have been eliminated.
fight bugs
In addition to unnamed minor errors, the update also fixes problems with certain graphics cards. If your Wo Long resolution has been weird or keeps resetting on its own, you should try again after the patch!
Unfortunately no bug: The first boss of Wo Long is brutally difficult and even makes some Souls veterans sweat. If you keep failing at Zhang Liang, we have two pieces of good news: After that, the game gets easier and you’re far from the only ones looking stupid:
Patch 1.03 is available now and should install itself if you allow automatic downloads on Steam. Otherwise you should install the update manually. Let us know in the comments if the technical problems are getting better for you and if the mouse controls are smoother now.
On the next page you will find the complete Europe patch notes for update 1.03.
