Thanks to a European law, smartphones must all have a USB-C connection – including the iPhone. It should come as no surprise that Apple is there fore considering equipping the iPhone 15 with this connection.
However, there was also the option of releasing a cell phone without any connections. According to a leak, this will not be the case with the iPhone 15 and Apple is bowing to European regulations. The leak could also have revealed another detail about the case.

USB-C and a titanium case
The leak comes from Unknownz21, which has also proven to be reliable in the past. On Twitter he shares a picture that should show the bottom of the iPhone 15 Pro. You can clearly see that it has a USB-C connec tor instead of a Lightning connector.
The image also gives us a glimpse of what material the case might be made of. There has long been speculation as to whether the next iPhones will have a titanium case, as is the case with the Apple Watch Ultra.
In the leaked photo, it can be seen that it is a matte metal, very similar in color to that of the Apple Watch Ultra. So the rumors could be true.
An iPhone with a titanium case instead of the stainless steel used in the iPhone 14, for example, could be significantly lighter.
Overall, there is hardly anyone who is not happy about a uniform standard. A user on Reddit writes something like: »Yes! Now my iPad and iPhone can use a single cable!« In contrast to the iPhones, Apple has been using USB-C for the iPads for a long time.
Other users, on the other hand, poke fun at Apple’s marketing and sneer at how the company will sell the USB-C standard as new and innovative.
Some users would only now upgrade to the latest iPhone after a long wait. The titanium case is also well received overall, although it is much less talked about than the new connection.
Many assume that only the Pro models will use Titanium. There is no concrete information yet. What is known about the iPhone 15 so far, we have summarized for you here:
