First, South African actor Sharlto Copley, best known for his long-standing collaboration with director Neill Blomkamp and his role in the film “District 9,” will play the bounty hunter Leo Bonhart, who first appeared in the novel “Baptism of the Fire” in the year 1996. Secondly, James Purefoy, who starred in the film adaptation of Resident Evil and recently appeared in the series Sex Education, will play the spy Skellen. Finally, the actor Danny Woodburn, known for his roles in the series Seinfeld or the recent live-action films dedicated to the Ninja Turtles, joins the cast to play Zoltan, Geralt’s loyal dwarf friend.

A season that has everything to prove
These new additions are certainly a big win for Netflix, which has everything to prove in this new season. Even if the series “The Witcher” has managed to achieve good numbers since it began airing, it is still necessary to highlight the mixed reception that it has received from the press and audiences over the seasons. This time, with the fourth season, Netflix lost its centerpiece, Henry Cavill, who decided to leave the series. The British actor who played Geralt of Rivia perfectly will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth. A decision that is anything but unanimous among fans. The streaming platform must therefore succeed in convincing the witcher community. However, it will still be a few months before we can discover this new version of The Witcher. Filming is scheduled to begin this spring. Be continued.
