The rumors were launched this morning, now it’s official. Jason David Frank, best known for his role as Tommy Oliver on Power Rangers Mighty Morphin, died over the weekend at the age of 49. News that has rocked the geek sphere and longtime fans alike.

The rumors were launched on Twitter very early in the morning. The actor’s personal trainer and martial arts specialist quickly shared a message on Instagram, but the message was not formalized. Doubt and hope floated, however TMZ confirmed in the late afternoon that Jason David Frank took his life on the night of November 19, 2022.
Jason David Frank rocked the childhoods of more than one geek. He made his debut in Season 1 of Power Rangers as Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger. First Enemy, the character then became an icon of the franchise, where he starred for three seasons and 123 episodes. He later reprized his role in several other adaptations including Power Ranger Zeo, Turbo, Ninja Steel, HyperForce and more.
For many, Jason David Frank was the face and embodiment of the Power Rangers. “ Please respect the privacy of his family and friends at this terrible time as we recover from the loss of such a wonderful being. He loved his family, friends and fans immensely. We will miss him terribly his spokesman explained to the American media.
