Sony has just lifted the veil on “free” games coming to PlayStation Plus in May 2024. Let’s not beat around the bush, Sony is hitting hard this month.
It’s the little monthly ritual that we now know by heart. Holiday or not, PlayStation is introducing this Wednesday, May 1st, the new trio, which will be offered to all subscribers, regardless of the formula chosen. Three “free” games that can then be added to your library starting on the first Tuesday of the current month and are available thereafter for as long as your PS Plus subscription is active. Well, we saw it recently with FF7 Remake and Fallout 4, that doesn’t guarantee that the possible next-gen patches will be available immediately after their release, but everything comes with time, who knows how to wait. And with Stellar Blade now available, the month we’ve just begun promises to be a very quiet one in terms of releases. Is it compensated by the PS Plus program? This is what awaits you in May 2024.
PS Plus games for May 2024
We’re taking it easy on this gray holiday, but there’s no question for Sony to change its schedule. Written like a letter to the post office, the Japanese publisher stuck to its usual communication plan and revealed the three games that will be offered to all PS Plus subscribers in May 2024. After a selection in April, a trio is expected again at the turn, which made some subscribers hungry. Latecomers therefore still have a few players who can get their hands on Immortals of Aveum, Minecraft Legends and Skul The Hero Slayer before they make way for the “free” PS Plus games from May 2024. It’s as chilly as the temperatures outside, they’ve just been revealed:
- EA Sports FC 24 Standard Edition | PS4, PS5
- Ghostrunner 2 | PS5
- Tunic | PS4, PS5
- Destiny 2: Lightfall | PS4, PS5
Bonus content offered
A selection that we haven’t seen for a long time. Football lovers will inevitably flock to EA FC 24, which may have changed its name but retained the essence of the FIFA license. As a small gift and last but not least, PS Plus subscribers are being offered a starter pack this month. Perfect for a good start to the Ultimate Team experience with a pack containing 11 untradeable players with a minimum rating of 82 and one of the greatest ICON players of all time on loan for seven games.
Challenge enthusiasts won’t be left out with two excellent standalone games coming as part of PS Plus in May 2024. On the one hand, the cute but difficult tunic, which has impressed players and critics alike. On the other hand, the fast FPS Ghostrunner 2, a second attempt that is even more lively, immersive and thrilling. And if you didn’t think you were spoiled enough, Sony is offering you a new bonus expansion for Destiny 2: Lightfall. The “free” PS Plus Essential games will therefore be available from Tuesday, May 7th to June 4th, 2024 around 11 a.m. French time.
