Vicarious Visions, the studio behind Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, has been fully acquired by Blizzard. Will the license be condemned or can a new episode see the light of day?
Even before Microsoft’s acquisition, Activision Blizzard had reorganized its studios to execute one simple plan: take Call of Duty even further. The developers were left with no choice, not even the creators of Crash Bandicoot 4. Vicarious Visions (Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2) managed to sneak away… but were absorbed by Blizzard, with the result that they had to part with the skate franchise . Now that the Fusion is fully functional, do we need to worry about the cult license disappearing after an acclaimed remake?

Except that, as you may know, Activision hasn’t announced anything. However, this seems to prove that the publisher finally has plans for the series. Will they make them come true? That’s another story…
