Anyone who works in several collectives knows only too well: You always need one to do nothing like the others. In the video game industry, Sifu is one of them, and that is exceptionally good.
Given the relentless avalanche of displacement that affects our favorite hobby every day, the French at Sloclap are proudly an exception: First announced for February 25th, the very aesthetic Sifu has just brought its release forward by two short weeks and will be distributing headlines and mandals on PC, PS4 and PS5 on February 8th.
Un Sifu, fou, fou …
Not a little proud of this good news, the French took the opportunity to speak on the PlayStation blog and return in detail to the gameplay of this game in the form of a tribute to martial arts films that already appears to cheer our house specialist:
We created the structural system, namely the ability to use blows to break the opponent’s posture (and thus his ability to attack and defend himself), which is a real concept of combat. This system appears in the form of an advertisement, for you and your enemies. If you can break your opponent’s structure, you can take them down with a powerful knockdown that provides an opportunity to demonstrate Pak Mei’s devastating techniques. But if your own structure knife fills up, you will be temporarily unable to fight and defend yourself, and will be vulnerable to enemy attacks.
The developers also take the opportunity to remind that Sifu will be optimized to get as close as possible to a frame rate of 60 frames per second, even if this is good old PlayStation 4. But since the aging of his protagonist seems to be the focus of Sifu’s gameplay, the players are Vermeil Card Holders the fortunate ones enjoy 48 hour early access by opting for the Deluxe Edition, which also includes an art book and the game’s soundtrack composed by Howie Lee.
Continue training now that Sifu will hit PC, PS4, and PS5 starting February 8, 2022 to break his shins.
