A few days after Sony revealed the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for August 2024, Sony has put them online and you don’t want to miss them. There are some things you shouldn’t miss.
The PlayStation Plus Essential games for August 2024 are available and there are (very) good ones. For Metroidvania fans who missed it during the release, it will be greatly appreciated Ender Lilies: Quietus the Knight is currently available until the beginning of next month. The phenomenon Five Nights at Freddy’s has also been added to the catalogue with the game Security Breach, as has the very good LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga. That’s it for the “free” games of the cheapest subscription, but there is also something new for the other two PS Plus plans.
August 2024 PS Plus extra games are here
The announcement of the new PS Plus Extra & Premium games for August 2024 was made a few days ago. As every month, the update of these two subscriptions is in fact staggered. Is the selection of titles offered to subscribers better than in July 2024? Clearly yes, if only because of the presence of a masterpiece of the PS4 generation: The Witcher 3. From here you can (re)discover Geralt’s great adventure Reeves Riv in the best possible conditions if you have a PS5. The game is also playable on PS4, but on PlayStation 5 you will automatically receive the next-gen update. This is one of the two essential PS Plus extras for August 2024.
The other PS Plus Extra game of August 2024 that you really shouldn’t miss is Cult of the Lamb. A production by Devolver Digital that combines roguelike and management. On the one hand there is the action part with dungeons, on the other hand you have to create a cult and grow it. A well-designed title where it is possible and even recommended to sacrifice some of your followers for a good cause. In the new PS Plus Extra games of the month there is also a rival to Monster Hunter, Wild Hearts, Ride 5, Naruto, several episodes of Sword Art Online and Watch Dogs 2.
