In the first trailer for The Gorge from director Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange, The Black Phone), two elite snipers take up positions at the gorge. Although the film is an action thriller, love also plays a big role – the release is scheduled for Valentine's Day. Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, The Queen's Gambit) and Miles Teller (Top Gun: Maverick, Whiplash) occupy an observation tower on either side of a large ravine and are tasked with watching over the dark abyss in which a great danger lurks. The parties that hired the as yet unnamed snipers are enemies. However, contrary to their instructions, the two build a relationship with each other until something stirs in the gorge. The film is scheduled to release on Apple TV+ on February 14, 2025.
