From Civilization 7 to Jagged Alliance 3 – strategy summit with Maurice, Steinwallen & Writing Bull
It’s all in the Platinum Edition
Of course, the base game of Civilization 6 alone doesn’t cost 168 dollars. The bundle includes a lot of DLCs and, above all, the two large, comprehensive expansions. There are a total of eight DLCs in here:
- The Rise and Fall expansion
- The Gathering Storm expansion
- Das Vikings Scenario Pack
- Das Poland Civilization & Scenario Pack
- Das Australia Civilization & Scenario Pack
- Das Khmer and Indonesia Civilization & Scenario Pack
- Das Persia and Macedon Civilization & Scenario Pack
- Das Nubia Civilization & Scenario Pack
Individually, the small DLCs cost between five and nine dollars, the two add-ons cost 30 and 40 dollars. The main game normally still costs 60 dollars. The expansions add some exciting game mechanics to the historical 4X strategy game. For example, Gathering Storm brings severe storms and global warming into play as a global challenge, such as rising sea levels and threatening coastal cities.
Rise and Fall, on the other hand, expands empire management with governors, age bonuses and a loyalty mechanic through which cities can change hands. All packs always come with new factions and leaders.
More DLC?
The Platinum Bundle includes many DLCs, but not all of them. In total, Civilization 6 has received a whopping 15 since its release eight years ago. If you really want the complete package, you can grab the Anthology Bundle, which is currently also reduced – but only by 53 percent. You then pay 98 instead of 210 dollars.
Additionally, keep in mind that Steam Bundles filter out DLCs and games that you already own! So you only pay for the products that you are still missing. If the bundle is reduced, this also applies to the new price. Sometimes a package like this can be worthwhile even if you just want to complete your collection.
