Eidos Montreal Is causing a sensation on social media because it correctly praises a transgender developer who left halfway Guardians of the GalaxyRespectful production: this is the correct name, the correct location and the location in the correct area (not just “extra thanks”).
As Eurogamer said, the studio correctly attributed Cloe Veilleux, director of technical level design, to her role-she was promoted to this role during production. The company also listed her name correctly, even though she legally changed her name ten days before leaving the studio when she debuted about a year ago.
“It makes me feel that keeping my name is a conscious decision, and I don’t know who to thank for this,” Veilleux told Eurogamer. “I expected very little and received more recognition. Of course I am very happy to see this.”
After some credit problems in the industry, this is some comforting good news. The most high-profile issue recently has to do with MercurySteam’s neglect of various developers who help Metroid phobias, and these developers are not listed in the game at all.
Veilleux is currently working as a senior technical designer at Relic Entertainment.
In his Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy review, Alex described the game as “one of the best story-centric games of the year-with some gains.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy” is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch Cloud, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
