The least that can be said is that Halo Infinite’s July 2020 presentation left no one indifferent. And overall the reactions were negative. Including people directly related to the Halo license. A year after the events, it was the turn of one of Halo’s residents.

Youtube channel HiddenXperia recently had the opportunity to speak to Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto. After the failed presentation of. asked Halo infinite from July 2020, Marcus Lehto apparently had an opinion on it. And like many other people, he was not convinced. But on the contrary:
What I saw during the last E3 really bothered me. And I think the community (of the Halo fans) as a whole was very concerned too. But you can clearly see that all the returns cost 343 and what they produced for this year (E3) was impressive.
As a reminder, Halo Infinite’s “E3 2020” presentation gave birth to many women, including “Craig” the Brute (nicknamed “Jean-Louis” by the editors of iGamesNews).
You are better
But in the eyes of Marcus Lehto all of this is obviously more than just old history. The former Bungie Artistic Director is indeed full of praise for the work done by 343 Industries:
As an artist and creative director looking at the game as a whole, I’m really impressed with the direction they’re taking and how they remember certain original designs. I am aware that a lot of the designs are from the Bungie era. But they still have their very own personal touch. They don’t just cut and glue. They want to do something unique for Infinite and it shows. looks very good. To be honest, I’m a little jealous because it looks like one of the best halos ever built. So I can’t wait to start the game and see what they did.
Although Marcus Lehto has not been involved in the development of the series ‘games for several years, he remains very attached to Halo and regularly shares parts of the series’ history on social networks. For example, he recently uploaded images from the version of Halo: Combat Evolved that was used in the game’s very first presentation.
As a reminder, Halo Infinite is slated for release later this year on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC appear. At the time these lines are written, Microsoft has not yet specified the game’s release date.
