Notice: Spoilers for chapter 271 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga
After years of battles, deaths and unexpected plot twists, Gege Akutami has put an end to one of the most popular manga of recent times: Jujutsu Kaisen. After a long and arduous battle, we have finally seen our favorite group of sorcerers smile after so much suffering.
The chapter begins with Nobara, Itadori and Megumi returning to their routine as sorcerers, confronting a stalker who was bothering a couple. After stopping him, Itadori tries to reassure the criminal, reminding him, through a flashback involving Gojo Satoru, that it is always possible to redeem yourself and get back on the right path.
Elsewhere, tribeAfter being defeated by Yuji, he finds himself in limbo with Mahito, where after reflecting on his defeat, he decides to abandon his path of destruction, choosing to reincarnate in peace with Uraume. For his part, Mahito, due to his evil nature, is condemned to eternal darkness, unable to follow the same path and left alone for the rest of his life.
The chapter culminates with a panel that is a recreation of the first chapter of the manga, where Sukuna’s finger lies calmly, away from danger. We are then shown the main protagonists, happy and getting back to their lives after the tragic events of Shinjuku.
This way, Jujutsu Kaisen reaches its conclusion, dividing, of course, fans of Akutami’s work due to its ending. And although Itadori’s story has come to an end, it will be a matter of time to see Gege Akutami return in Shonen Jump, with a project that is currently unknown.
