The beat ’em up The King of Fighters XV gets another boost on the fighter front! The new Team Samurai will be released via DLC next week.
Those who have been patiently waiting for more characters in The King of Fighters XV will be rewarded next week. SNK today announced the release of the Team Samurai DLC pack for October 4th. This consists of Haohmaru, Nakoruru and Darli Dagger from the popular fighting game Samurai Shodown.
Haohmaru is a traveling swordsman striving to master the art of the sword. He is a brave and free-spirited fighter who despises cowardice. Sake in hand, he travels from country to country in search of a worthy opponent.
Nakoruru is a Kamuy warrior who has the ability to communicate with nature. She became a spirit of the earth and dedicated herself to protecting nature. She has returned to the present to work with Haohmaru and Darli to thwart the resurrection of Verse and exorcise the evil spirit.
Darli Dagger is a shipbuilder with her own island shipyard. In addition to her tremendous strength, she also uses the skills she possesses as a carpenter and the self-defense skills she learned from pirates in battle. She joins Haohmaru to assist Nakoruru in her mission.
With the new DLC characters, there are 54 playable fighters, with more on the way.
In early October, Team Samurai will land in The King of Fighters XV via DLC.
