The Last of Us won’t wait and returns for a second time this week to the delight of viewers following Ellie and Joel’s television journey. We can thank the Super Bowl.

Very nice surprise this week: The fifth episode of The Last of Us series has arrived earlier than expected. Logically, this new episode, like the others, should arrive home Sunday night, but HBO and Warner chose to avoid shoulder contact with the Super Bowl, America’s biggest sporting event of the year. In view of this behemoth, the channel has therefore decided to air it early this Friday evening in the United States. In fact, the episode arrived on Amazon Prime Video in France last night.
Riffifi in Kansas City
Now that the series has laid a solid foundation and even taken great liberties with its original story, especially with the famous episode 3, this time the events follow each other directly. So, after their forced stop in the city, Joel and Ellie continue their journey in Kansas City. Still hunted by the revolutionary group that rules the city, our two heroes must now work alongside Sam and Henry, who are also trying to escape from their former comrades.
This episode therefore offers an opportunity to better understand the events in Kansas City, the origin of this group of survivors who defy the authority of FEDRA, as well as the past of Ellie and Joel’s new acquaintances. An episode to watch now before waiting for Monday February 20th to discover episode 6 and resume the original broadcast rate.
