The latest update is The last of us part 1 On PC it’s the long weekend, and with it, everyone should stop getting drenched randomly.
For buggy builds, bugs generally fall into two categories: interesting and uninteresting. Most of the issues with the PC port of The Last of Us remake fall into the former category, but it’s hard to deny that characters randomly getting completely covered in water during cutscenes aren’t funny. Too bad for those who did find it funny, because a new patch was released at the start of the long weekend and it should be fixed by now. This especially happens in the Quarantine scene, but according to the patch notes, this “issue where player and friend characters could suddenly appear wet during gameplay” has been fixed.
Perhaps more importantly, one of the patch notes reads “updated texture streaming to reduce CPU usage”, which should help improve performance when loading new regions. Fixed some crashes, like the most annoying one that could happen during shader loading when launching the game for the first time. So hopefully if you’re still trying to play this game on PC, you’ll have an easier time.
as above TwitterNaughty Dog, and Steel Galaxy “are continuing to observe and investigate player reports and will keep you informed about future improvements and patches, including mouse jitter fixes.” You can share any issues you may encounter on Naughty Dog’s requests page, But there is a list of known issues that are currently under investigation.
Overall, the PC port has had very low reception due to all the issues the PC port has been suffering from (leading to the question of why it was released in that state). Updates have been coming in steadily, though, so in time it might work just fine.
