Before the remaster The Last of Us: Part I appears in September, Naughty Dog would like to let you know again what has happened technically compared to the template.
Many consider the already second remaster of The Last of Us to be superfluous. No wonder developer Naughty Dog is keen to convince players it’s worth getting a third time. The studio is currently releasing small comparisons to clarify what has happened in technical terms. There’s now a new clip that shows Joel on horseback as the image toggles between PS4 and PS5 graphics.
Most of the comparisons so far have included images of characters. Interestingly, it is noticeable that many figures look a bit older. However, Naughty Dog states that Part I would be much closer to the original vision of the game. Nevertheless, criticism continues as the developer tries to justify the price of the remaster. Because this is offered at the PS5 full price.
Of course, there’s no question how influential The Last of Us is. The only question is whether it took three versions in nine years. Many commenters below the clip still seem unconvinced. You can see the current comparison excerpt in the embedded tweet.
