news culture The Last of Us Season 2: A first image that hits very hard!
While the first season of The Last of Us series has just come to an end, fans are already impatiently awaiting the sequel… That’s a good thing, because Neil Druckmann has just released a first picture!
The first season of The Last of Us series ended last week, and you may have dived back into the Naughty Dog title for some consolation. Yes, for nine episodes, the excellent Pedro Pascal (Joël) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie) let us relive their adventures on the streets of the United States, with an ending almost identical to the source material. Even though the HBO show could have delivered more in some aspects, don’t sulk your enjoyment! We are faced with one of the best adaptations of a video game on the small screen. When next?
A first picture revealed!
If we still don’t know the exact date of The Last of Us season 2, Neil Druckmann, father of the license and co-creator of the series, just shared a first picture on Twitter. SO, this is not a film photo, but a kind of “work of art”
“No episode of The Last of Us on HBO tonight,” writes Neil Druckmann, “but season 2 is on the way.” The continuation of the adventures of Ellie and Joël was made official shortly after the second episode aired on January 27, 2023, a testament to a series that’s a real hit (HBO’s best start after House of the Dragon). Unsurprisingly, the American channel wants to continue its beautiful momentum.
Several seasons in the future
Following the conclusion of the first The Last of Us in a season, the HBO series continuation will delve into the events of The Last of Us Part 2! In conversation with GQ, Neil Druckmann stated that it will take “more than a season” to tell all of this. Good news for fans: Ellie and Joël sometimes seemed tense at the beginning of the show. We also know that Bella Ramsey will reprise her role. Shannon Berry is set to play the character of Abby.
