game news The Last of Us: The Composer Reveals Potential Information That’s Already Getting Big Reactions!
We’re still expecting a lot from The Last of Us license! We know we can safely await a second season of the adaptation and that a multiplayer game is in development. We also hear a lot of rumors about a possible third work, but it is the second that interests us today.
The Last of Us: a license that has become a cult in two episodes
Launched in 2013, The Last of Us license immediately gained its major franchise status. The impact on PS3 and PS4 has been huge, and the announcement of a second part only added to the success of the first game. With the release in June 2020, the critics on The Last of Us Part II are unanimous and a large part of the public has followed this path. Leaving aside the reactions unrelated to the video game, The main criticisms of the game concern its pacing, which is said to be uneven for a title that is too longand gameplay that didn’t benefit enough from this second game to gain depth.
But the story was once again considered exemplary and the title was a complete success. While we wait to learn more about multiplayer play and possibly learn of the existence of a third solo game, we were treated to the first season of the series as well as a remaster of the first game, renamed The Last of Us Part I for the occasion. A game sold to the max on the PS5 and later on the PC, which greatly angered the players, who expressed their dissatisfaction on social networks. However, the work done made it possible to seduce, and just a disastrous start on pc spoiled the Naughty Dog game for a couple of weeks, that Evan Wells will be leaving soonCo-President of the studio, after a 25-year career.
The Last of Us Part 2 coming to PS5 soon? It is possible !
But what interests us today is a statement from Gustavo Santaolalla, the composer behind the soundtrack and with it the now legendary theme of the franchise. Questioned in Spanish, the musician made a statement that is already causing a stir. The latter actually speaks of a “new version of the game”which was not announced at all by Naughty Dog and Sony.
He hints that we can find his character in the game and ask him to play music. The most knowledgeable already know that the Composer is included in the base game. However, no special interaction is possible. It could even be said that the composer, Oscar winner for Babel, is saying too much, making it clear that he “can’t say any more” at the moment.
Assuming that Gustavo Santaolalla betrayed the truth, we have two choices: We could be entitled to it a remastered version for the PS5 that some are afraid of because of the price aloneor to one Version Director’s Cut. We’ve already seen several, be it for Ghost of Tsushima or Death Stranding, so it’s possible. It’s also possible, although less likely, that the composer used the term “new version” to refer to a new game. In this case, the latter could well be reminiscent of the multiplayer game of which concrete news are expected soon.
