The TV adaptation of The Last of Us has been in production for a while and has only given us stills so far. But now there are first scenes from the series.
The Last of Us is certainly high on the list of series adaptations that video gamers are excited to see. After all, Neil Druckmann from Naughty Dog is working with Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin on the series, which at least gives hope for a decent story and a certain proximity to the games.
The production has been going on for quite some time, but so far we have only been able to get hold of a few pictures. In a preview trailer for upcoming series, HBO is finally showing moving scenes. It’s only about 20 seconds, but at least we get a glimpse of how Pedro Pascal (“Game of Thrones”, “The Mandalorian”) as Joel and Bella Ramsey (“Game of Thrones”) as Ellie are doing.
However, if you hope that the trailer will give a specific start date for the series, you will be disappointed. Nothing more than a sly “Coming next year” can be seen there either. So, HBO President Casey Bloys’ comments appear to still hold true. But now to the trailer – the scenes related to The Last of Us start at around 1:42.
