The Breath of the Wild sequel The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom now has a specific release date of May 12, 2023. Real fans and potential switch prospects should then be able to buy a limited edition of the console themselves.
Nintendo is apparently also preparing to release a limited edition OLED model of the Switch console itself to coincide with the release of the first-party blockbuster The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. An official announcement of this hardware is still pending, but the first leaked footage has already appeared via Reddit.
Said footage shows the OLED Switch designed with the colors and icons of the upcoming Zelda game. Although this looks real at first glance, there is still a residual risk that it could also be fake material; until an official announcement of this limited edition of the switch, you should continue to classify today’s message as a rumor and treat it with the necessary caution.
This year, as part of a showcase, Nintendo finally nailed things down on both the final name and the release date for the new Zelda game. The Breath of the Wild sequel will be available on May 12, 2023.
Most recently, Tears of the Kingdom received an ESRB age rating in the United States. The release was granted from the age of 10 – as was the case with the predecessor Breath of the Wild.
