From “The Lord of the Rings” to Marvel: Actor Will Poulter talks about his early exit from Amazon’s mega-project. More on Netzwelt.
- “Midsommar” star Will Poulter was slated to star in Amazon’s “Lord of the Rings” series.
- After his early departure from Middle-earth, however, he landed on his feet.
- Marvel fans will soon be able to experience Poulter in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”.
Will Poulter, the man with the distinctive eyebrows, will unfortunately be absent from Amazon’s Middle-earth. The star of such films as “We Are the Millers” or “Midsommar” was originally supposed to play a leading role in the upcoming “Lord of the Rings” series, which will start on September 2, 2022.
But he got out before shooting season 1 – allegedly because of scheduling conflicts. Poulter’s currently unknown part (rumor has it that he should play a young Elrond) is now being played by “Game of Thrones” star Robert Aramayo, who played the young Ned Stark in Westeros.
Will Poulter comments on “The Lord of the Rings” farewell, Marvel role
Actor Will Poulter has landed softly by his own admission. The magazine GQ he revealed that as an actor, you’re used to things not going in the right direction. You then have to “shake it off” and move on.
In Will Poulter’s case, that means that he will soon take on the role of Adam Warlock in the upcoming MCU blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”. The superhero film from Marvel will – as of now – start in US cinemas on May 5, 2023.
