The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, these two trilogies are only part of the universe created by JRR Tolkien. He called his work “Middle-earth” and his works explore the different ages in which this fantastic land lives.
Although it begins with The Lord of the Rings, this saga actually begins with The Hobbit from the point of view of history. The latter actually focuses on Bilbo Baggins, a humble hobbit from the Shire who is about to embark on an extremely exotic adventure!
With the magician Gandalf the Gray and the 13 dwarfs of the Blue Mountains, Bilbo sets out to free the dwarf kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the grip of Smaug, the dragon who hungers for the gold of the dwarves.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy unfolds many years later. We find Frodo, Bilbo’s nephew, who is receiving his uncle’s ring. However, it is no ordinary ring, it is a ring of power, and worse, it is the one ring.
In Middle-earth there are rings of power with immense capacities. And as the author repeats:
