The construction mode is not necessarily one of the most popular features of Fallout 4. The clunky controls in particular caused frustration for many players.

However, the developers created their own quest for the Far Harbor expansion based on this mode. DiMA’s memories has been considered by many fans and also our editor Peter to be one of the most annoying and unpopular quests.

However, you can also make the task less difficult or even skip it completely.

What is it about?

During the main quest of Far Harbor, the synth DiMA will ask you to recover his lost memories. To do this, you will enter a virtual world in which you must solve several puzzles:

The basis for this is Fallout 4’s construction mode. You place and remove blocks to clear the way for a beam of light. Helpful little bugs extract the data for you, while you protect them from guard bots by placing gun turrets.

Skip quest?

If you don’t want to start the quest in a new playthrough, you don’t have to mess around with the console. Because there is two small mods that let you skip the puzzle:

How did you get on with the puzzles? Did they really get on your nerves, or do you just not understand the big fuss about the quest? Let us know in the comments.

Of course, we have even more exciting news in store for Fallout fans: There is now an update for the second season of the series. And a fan remake of Fallout 2 turns the role-playing game into a huge open world.
