The arsenal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (and thus Warzone) continues to grow: With the update of April 28, a new weapon comes into play that veterans will recognize immediately: The light MG M249 SAW celebrates its return.
The MG first appeared in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and is also regularly featured in other shooters such as the Battlefield series. Here is an overview of the most important information:
- What is the name of the new weapon? The MG appears in Modern Warfare as MK9 Bruen, because in many cases the game does not use the real names of the weapons.
- What is the MK9 Bruen good for? Nothing is known about the exact values of the weapon. One thing is clear: it has a 100-round cartridge belt as standard, but like the Holger-26 it can be converted to a small 30-round magazine.
- When does the weapon appear? The MK9 Bruen will be added to the content update on April 28th, along with the playlist update and Warzone changes.
- How do you unlock the MK9? The weapon is not included in the Battle Pass, but is unlocked via Challenge. You can find the challenge in the weapons menu at the LMGs after the update. Alternatively, you can also buy the MK9 blueprint "The Glitch" in the shop, which unlocks the base weapon. It is included in the bundle encryption.
New weapon combos in Gunsmith
The update also introduces Gunsmith Customs. This new feature lets you combine various pre-made weapon blueprints and create your own hybrid setups.
From now on you can use attachments from different construction plans at the same time – which should enable countless new adjustment options.
However, the system has clear limits: only blueprints of the same weapon can be combined. Incidentally, the patch also returns the best (and at the same time worst) playlist from CoD: Modern Warfare, which fans always vehemently demand. CoD: Warzone players, on the other hand, can look forward to a new but risky way to revive their entire squad.
