The next installment in Ubisoft’s franchise, called Assassin’s Creed Rift, would actually be called Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Other information would have leaked, but there is something to eat and drink.
What would an episode of Assassin’s Creed – and/or a Ubisoft production, let’s say swear words – be without a good leak? It wouldn’t be the same. And of course that’s why a new rumor has surfaced… but it should be taken with a grain of salt because some elements are false.
Assassin’s Creed Rift should be called Assassin’s Creed Mirage
In a video, the Youtuber shows j0nathan
Final name, era and exploration
According to him, the final name of this opus would be Assassin’s Creed Mirage and it would be released in Spring 2023 between April and June, Ubisoft’s next fiscal year. It will also likely arrive before Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, the latter of which has been postponed.
What is also tending to be confirmed is that it will not happen in Japan. Mirage prefers to take us to Baghdad, between the years 860 / 870 with the context of the anarchy in Samarra. We would play the young thief Basim until he gets inside “The Unseen”. Multiple cities separated by desert and rivers like Assassin’s Creed realm would be explorable and smaller.
A return to basics
With Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft wanted to go back to the basics of the series and the very first title in particular. To do this, the teams would have removed the RPG elements such as the choice of dialogue, the level system or the choice of male or female character.
The changes would also result in less nagging software than Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with new animations. On the other hand, like the eagle drone, the eagle vision would make a comeback. Basim could take out enemies with the rope dagger and not just with eg.
After all, there would be no scenes in the present, save for one of a few seconds.
A leak not entirely true
Jason Schreier, a Bloomberg reporter with very reliable sources, isn’t as adamant as j0nathan. In doing so, he asserts that certain points he has already published, such as the exit window, the target or the return to sources, are true. The final name would also be Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
However, according to one of his informants, that would be wrong for the numerous explorable cities. He said no more, but the above details should therefore be taken with a grain of salt as some information is incorrect.
