When I played Final Fantasy XVI in February, it was very clear to me that it has everything to be one of the most brutal games we will get to see this year and without a doubt one of the most impressive of the current generation of consoles. Its graphic section is so amazing that it will undoubtedly become one of those experiences that will leave you speechless in front of the screen.
The fact of getting something like that it is due solely to the power and capabilities that PS5 has
While Ifrit and Garuda are fighting and having this big battle, PS5 is loading the next scene in the background… It’s getting ready, so we can move on to it smoothly.
Yoshida mentions one of the most brutal moments that we were able to witness in this first contact, since the fight between the two Eikons is simply tremendous due to all the effects that appear on the screen and its cinematic sequences, despite the fact that most part of the time you just stare at each other instead of interacting.
In fact, to further emphasize these statements, Ryoto Suzuki, the combat director who also participated in Devil May Cry 5, has stated that game development has gone ahead solely on the power of PS5.
Being able to do all of this seamlessly and without any loading time has become possible thanks to the power of PS5. If we didn’t have the memory that the PS5 has, and also the transfer speed of its SSD, we would still be in development.
For all these reasons, it seems that it will be very rare, if not impossible, to get to see Final Fantasy XVI on a platform other than the Sony console. At the moment the only thing that is certain is that it will go on sale on PS5 on June 22nda date that will not change unless a catastrophe occurs on the planet.
