Like the manufacturer’s other legacy consoles, Nintendo is now expanding the Nintendo Switch Online 64-bit catalog into dribs and drabs. But now the best Zelda 3D is about to land there and all is forgiven.
As most retro gamers already know, this Friday, January 21st, the classic 3D platformer Banjo-Kazooie arrives in Nintendo Switch Online, just to spice up Nintendo 64’s slightly reduced catalog of games.
“Though short, the month of February is the meanest of them all”
What a joy to discover that the next game to land in subscription is nothing short of one (if not the, shall we say “the”) best 3D episode of The Legend of Zelda: the untestable Majora’s Mask.
As usual, Nintendo doubts the exact date when players will be able to (re)discover the universe in the form of a time warp from Termina. After 12 minutes or Deathloop, the Time Loop principle continues to show excellent health.
Majora’s Mask and the Feather
The only problem with the story is that this version of The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask plays just like the 2000 original. As a result, it lacks the many improvements made to the 3DS version to make the adventure much more flexible and lacks the old-fashioned challenge.
According to the manufacturer’s promises, the Nintendo Switch Online catalog will soon include Pokémon Snap, Mario Golf and Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards.
