It’s been a while since Fallout: London last received a new patch, but the FOLON team has now provided an update explaining what they’ve been working on for patch 1.02. Long story short, they’ve drafted in some additional help to help improve its performance, and you won’t have to wait too long to see the fixes in-game.
Fallout: London is well worth a look if you haven’t already, as it’s an interesting take on post-apocalyptic British culture, and it’s also a pretty solid Fallout game in its own right for how well it handles bugs.

“For those eagerly awaiting news on the patch release, we are pleased to share that the patch should be available on [London MCM] Comic Con,” project manager Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter wrote in a new post on the Fallout: London Discord server.
“We know we said it would come out soon, and yes it did take a little longer than expected, but there’s a reason for that – we brought in some outside help to improve performance, facial gen data, and LODs, and it took a while to get them up to speed, but *wow* the difference,” he continued. “This update (and the accompanying video) will provide a huge improvement, and we’re glad we held off on it to ensure all of these enhancements were included in one patch!”
If you want to get a sneak peek at the upcoming changes, the team has also provided a link to a Google spreadsheet you can check out that details the work being done and in progress.
Headlining the announcement are some changes to LOD clip volumes that should help limit save file corruption issues for people visiting Islington or St Paul’s Cathedral, as well as some pre-combo regeneration that should “fix various random/repeatable crashes.” There are also a ton of quest fixes, including one that should stop you from being unable to find calling cards during Lay of the Land, which was one of the issues I had to fix using console commands while playing my Fallout: London review.
There are also a ton of gameplay tweaks, including one that prevents you from accidentally falling into a bank before discovering the Bank of England due to the Sleepwalker trait, and one that makes the information you receive at the start of the game about what disease you’ll eventually have use accurate percentages. There’s also a whole bunch of item and NPC tweaks, including one that means you can no longer eat Atkins robots because you’re a cannibal. To be fair, they probably don’t taste very good.
The MCM Comic Con in London (which the FOLON team will be attending) is set to kick off on October 25th, and if the modders can stick to their current plans then you won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on this patch.
