It seems that the next two PS5 controllers and their colors have been revealed in advance on the official PlayStation website. A quick update on the latest rumours.
The Dualsense Edge is slowly coming into gamers’ hands. Less criticized for its price and the performance of its included battery compared to the console, the PS5 “Pro” controller drew a lot of ink in our peers’ tests. However, Sony shouldn’t forgo its cheaper models and some gamers have already spotted the next colors of future PlayStation 5 controllers.
Two new PS5 controllers soon?
Since the launch of the PS5, Sony has regularly offered new accessories of different colors, be it for its facades or its controllers. All are currently available in multiple colors ranging from blue to red to purple. Still, while browsing the official PlayStation website, some observant netizens have spotted hints of future PS5 controllers. In fact, if you go to the section dedicated to the guarantees of the brand’s different products and fill out a specific form, a drop-down menu dedicated to the colors will mention the models already available, including the collector’s God controller of War.
Note, however, that two unannounced colors are mentioned. The “metallic gray” and the “metallic red” indicate that a new series would be launched soon. As one of the people who made this discovery points out, these two options have been around for months, but Sony still hasn’t removed them. Whether these new colors will apply to classic PS5 controllers or, on the contrary, to the DualSense Edge remains to be seen.
