The Ninja team seems ready to accept new things.
NinjasMay not be a new entry in the more familiar series. The studio plans to release “Nioh 2 Full Edition” on PC and PS5, and remake the original game on Sony’s console.
However, once these issues are resolved, this may be Nioh’s last meeting.
Fumihiko Yasuda of the Ninja team said in an interview with Gamer that the studio has not yet developed Nioh 3.
Yasuda said: “The Ninja team wants to focus on developing new games, so there are no plans for Nioh 3 yet.”
“But after creating some new projects and gaining some new experience and skills from those new potential projects, I want to go back to this series and use all the experience and new skills we have gained from some new projects, and Create bigger games that go beyond Nioh and Nioh 2 and create better things.”
Yasuda also rejected the idea that Ninja Team might return to Ninja Gaiden.
The Nioh franchise director said: “There is nothing to announce or specifically note this time, but if the Ninja Gaiden series does not exist, then there will be no Nioh series.”
“For the Ninja team, this is a very important series. Although we don’t have any specific news to announce at the moment, what I want to say is only some potential news that may be released in the near future.” He added, very Probably referring to the upcoming Ninja Gaiden remastered collection last year.
So, what will the Ninja team do next? Yasuda can only reveal that the studio is working on multiple projects. Indeed, the Ninja team recently ridiculed that 2021 will be full of announcements from the studio.
That said, Yasuda hinted in our interview that developers may face the challenge of creating open-world games, partly because there are fast SSDs in every PS5.
