We’re less than two days away from the big launch of Diablo IV’s first official season, Season of the Bad. The big preseason patch came out earlier today, bringing a ton of changes, a ton of bug fixes, new content. content, and some balance tweaks to your favorite aspects/classes/builds.
With the exception of the seasonal content itself, almost everything introduced by the patch can be utilized today. Whether you took the time to do everything on this list while playing Diablo 4 to get ready for Season 1’s launch, or never really got around to it, one small thing you can do now will make a big difference in the future. Make a big impact with characters – including seasonal ones.
In today’s patch, Blizzard unlocked the Altar of Lilith and applied Fog of War Clearance/Map Discovery to the entire account. If one character has them, all other characters also have them. But for this to work, you need Log into your account and select the character with the most progress.
This will propagate said progress to the rest of your Diablo 4 account, saving you from having to hunt down the Lilith Altar and re-clear the map on any future characters (which also includes seasonal characters).
If you don’t know which character has improved the most, don’t worry! You can log into all of them, and the game will pick the one with the most progress and apply it to your account.this Needs to be done before starting a seasonal rolebut you can do it anytime starting today.
It doesn’t matter if the season started and lasted for a while before you do this, as long as you don’t do this step the new season character won’t start. Remember that all players need to start a new character to experience seasonal content, so it’s crucial that even if you can’t buff yourself ahead of a new season, you can at least keep track of the progress you’ve made.
Season of Vicious kicks off on July 20th.
