Early this morning, “Pokemon TCG Pocket” ushered in a new promotional package event, where players can compete with the CPU for a series of limited-time cards. The grand prize is a special Venusaur with some new art.
This event is set to last until December 12th 10pm PST / 1am EST (13th) / 6am GMT (13th) / 7am CEST (13th). So you have plenty of time to get all five cards in the promo pack. The bad news for those who accumulated event hourglasses from Lapras EX events, however, is that those hourglasses don't appear to be carrying over.

The cards up for grabs are of course the new Bulbasaur, but also Onyx, Jigglypuff, Greninja, and Ghastly. Of course, it’s worth grabbing them all! Thankfully, the promo packs are almost 100% guaranteed on the highest difficulty, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to do so.
If you're looking for a deck to play in these Bulbasaur tournaments, any good fire deck will do. Our Charizard EX deck list should be great for those who own these cards, but you can also go for a Bryan Fire deck.
In terms of the future of Pokemon TCG Pocket, this drop is a big one to watch since the developers came out and laid out a roadmap. There's still a major expansion coming out sometime in early 2025, which should inject a ton of new cards. So grab these promotional cards, enjoy the holidays, and save your Christmas money to buy some cards in the new year.
