"Animal Crossing": "New Horizons" sales have exceeded Nintendo's original expectations.
In the new question and answer, the company's president Shuntaro Furukawa confirmed that the latest version of Animal Crossing has exceeded expected lifetime sales.
The person in charge of Nintendo said: "Animal Crossing: The initial sales of New Horizons have greatly exceeded our expectations."
"Considering that game fans have been waiting for this game for so long, we are targeting the current sales figures for the game's lifetime, but all this is much faster than we expected."
Furukawa also added that the "approximately 50%" of "animal crossing" is: New Horizons players in Japan, the United States and Europe purchased digital copies of the game.
Prior to this, Nintendo released financial results last week, the data shows that "New Horizons" shipped 11.7 million units in the first 11 days of sale, and increased to 13.41 million units in the first 6 weeks.
As we pointed out last week, this made Animal Crossing: New Horizons the best ever release of the Switch game, defeating 12.9 million (more than nine weeks) in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
