2K and Supermassive Games have announced quarrya new horror narrative game where your every choice, big or small, shapes your story and determines who lives and who dies.

The competition took place on the last day of summer camp, and the teen counselors at Hackett Quarry decided to throw a party to celebrate. Unfortunately for them, things took a turn for the worse as the locals drenched in blood and “more sinister” things turned the party night into a night of terror.

In The Quarry, you’ll play each of the nine camp counselors, and any character can become the star of the show – or die before dawn.

The game’s cast includes David Arquette (Scream), Ariel Winter (Modern Family), Justice Smith (Jurassic World), Brenda Song (Babyface), Lance Heng Rixon (Alien), Lin Shaye (Nightmare on Elm Street), and more.

Here is the list of features:

  • your story, their destiny. Dare you check what’s behind that trapdoor? Will you investigate the screams echoing from the forest? Will you save your friend or desperately run for your life? Every choice, big or small, shapes your story and determines who tells it.
  • amazing movie experience. Cutting-edge facial capture and cinematic lighting technology, combined with incredible performances from an iconic cast of Hollywood stars, bring the horrors of Hackett Quarry to life and take you on a thrilling cinematic thrill ride lifelike.
  • enjoy the fright with friends.Trust up to 7 friends in online games, invite players to watch and vote on key decisions, creating a story shaped by the entire team. Or, play together in a party horror couch co-op experience where each player chooses an advisor and controls their actions.
  • Customize your experience. Adjustable difficulty of all game elements allows players of any skill level to enjoy the horror. If you prefer watching rather than playing, Movie Mode lets you enjoy The Quarry as a movie thriller worth binge-watching. Choose how you want the story to unfold, fight back and chew some popcorn in between all the screams.

Quarry will be released on June 10 and will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

For PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, The Quarry will be available in physical and digital formats and will be optimized for next-gen consoles.

The deluxe edition will be available in digital format for consoles and PC only. It includes full game, Gorefest movie mode option, instant access to death rewind system, horror history visual filter pack and 80s themed character costumes. The retro pack includes 80’s style make-up character costumes for playable characters. It will be automatically delivered in-game on or before July 8th.

This version comes with the Gorefest option in Movie Mode, which lets you hit play and watch the creepy, bloody, splashy version of The Quarry. For fans of the mill’s grotesque, you’ll find plenty of death, dismemberment, and buckets of blood awaiting you in this brutal selection.

It also includes instant access to the death rewind system, a retry mechanic that is usually unlocked after you complete the quarry for the first time. Here, you start the story with three chances to reverse the deaths of playable characters, giving you the chance to change your fate and save them in the process – but you can only retry three times per playthrough. Just know that undoing one character’s ending can lead to the death of another.

There is also the horror history visual filter pack. This allows you to customize the game’s aesthetic to your liking by choosing from three cinematic visual filters, each replicating a different era and style of horror filmmaking. You can choose from 8mm-style film grain (Indie Horror), a retro VHS aesthetic (80s horror) or a classic black and white cinema filter (Classic Horror).

Purchases on PlayStation or Xbox provide both current and next-gen versions of the game in the Deluxe Edition. It doesn’t have cross-progression of save data, and the multiplayer feature only works on the same Xbox and PlayStation generations.
