Lamborghini eSports is building on the good experiences of the last year and will organize the tournament “The Real Race” again in 2021. We’ll tell you here what exactly you can expect.
Last year Lamborghini eSports organized the tournament “The Real Race” for the first time, which was considered a great success. More than 2,500 drivers from 109 countries around the world took part – reason enough for the organizers to get started again in 2021.
The event is now taking place for the second time, this time with a new and improved tournament format. There are three regional elimination tournaments for drivers in Europe, America and the Asia-Pacific region. Once again you will be put behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO in the racing game Assetto Corsa Competizione; The latter is also used by the official test and racing drivers of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse for training purposes.
Last year, the German driver Nils Naujoks won the tournament. This time, in contrast to the last edition, you will have to compete in three endurance races in addition to the traditional Grand Prix in order to do the same and first collect points in the respective regional rankings.
Registrations for the open qualification races are possible for all interested parties. These take place from Monday to Friday from June to November. The top 40 players from the open qualification take part in the closed qualification, which takes place every Saturday. The top 20 finally make it into “The Real Race” on the following Sunday, where they race against each other twice on the same track. In a total of 10 weekly qualification tournaments per region, participants can collect points in their respective regional ranking and thus climb the ranking list to become the next regional champion.
Registration is now possible; there is more information and details on how to participate on the official website. Finally, in the course of the competition, you have the chance to become the first official Lamborghini sim driver; there is also an invitation to the Lamborghini headquarters in Italy.
