“The Rookie” is celebrating a very special anniversary in season 6. With episode 2 of the new season we can expect the 100th episode of the popular ABC police series. And the series makers have come up with something very special for this.

Showrunner Alex Hawley hat dem US-Magazin TVLine revealed that episode 100 will be the wedding episode of John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and Bailey Nune (Jenna Dewan). We already saw in the trailer that not everything goes smoothly that day. The “curse of the last shift” hangs over the events: something traditionally goes very wrong on the last shift before a police officer’s wedding.
Even though John doesn’t think much of the curse, it drives his trainee Celina Juarez (Lisseth Chavez) crazy. But according to Hawley, this wedding won’t be as terrible a disaster as the wedding of Angela Lopez (Alyssa Diaz) and Wesley Evers (Shawn Ashmore), where rookie Jackson West (Titus Makin Jr.) died.
John and Bailey’s wedding episode is mainly intended to show the joyful side of the show and celebrate the characters. But the event doesn’t go quite as planned. Hawley reveals that the episode will feature everything The Rookie does so well – light entertainment, comedy and drama. So the curse still strikes.
