Indiana Jones 5 reveals its overarching storyline and a very stylish first picture of actor Mads Mikkelsen in a villain costume… for a change!
The English magazine Empire continues to shower us with pictures and information about Indiana Jones 5. What awaits the adventurer after facing the aliens?
Indiana Jones 5 takes a leap into the past
Indiana Jones 5 will indeed be much closer to the first films in the franchise, at least at the script level. The archeology professor’s new adventure takes place in 1969 in the context of the space race.
A framework that Dr. Jones won’t like it because the moon landing program was run by his sworn enemies the ex-Nazis.
The question is how ex-Nazis they are. It’s coming out of Indy’s nostrils.

After Harrison Ford in costume, we also have a snapshot of Mads Mikkelsen in odd black. His name is Voller and he will be the Indiana Jones 5 villain partly inspired by Wernher von Braun, a Nazi who once existed and eventually became a NASA engineer.
He is a man who wants to correct past mistakes. There is something that could make the world a much better place to live in. He would love to get his hands on it, as would Indiana Jones. And that is the starting point of our story.
Mads Mikkelsen.
An antagonist furiously reminiscent of Arnold Ernst Toht, the Nazi from Indiana Jones and hunter of the lost treasure.
An action scene in New York
The unreleased edition of Empire also features another character: Klaber. Boyd Hollbrook plays Voller’s “crazy henchman” (Mads Mikkelsen). In the photo below we see him riding a motorcycle as part of an action scene that takes place during the parade through the streets of New York organized to welcome the astronauts to the mainland after their journey to the moon.
