Capcom announces the Winters expansion for Resident Evil Village with three new features, the most important of which is story content. Attention spoilers !!!
Resident Evil Village presents its Shadows of Rose DLC.
In this solo DLC we don’t play as Ethan Winters, the hero of RE7 and Resident Evil Village. But then who? We’ll explain it to you, but beware, it spoils the game.
We will step into the shoes of Rose, daughter of Ethan and Mia Winters, 16 years after the end of RE Village. So Rose survived, grew up well and, most importantly, developed tremendous superpowers. Watched by Chris Redfield, the young girl wants to shed her abilities by penetrating the minds of the megamycetes. She is immediately projected into another dimension where time and space are “completely different”. From there she will encounter what appears to be a duplicate of herself and be guided by a certain one “Michael”to help him on his mission.
Rose will face monsters and a hostile environment that will attack her. The duke, the game’s merchant, will also turn against them and be able to visibly summon creatures. Les Ombres de Rose will be fully playable on the third nobody.
Third-person option, mercenary mode additions
In addition to the PS VR 2 mode, the entire Resident Evil Village campaign can be viewed in third-person via a special option. Finally, the final bonus of the Winters expansion: new characters for the Mercenaries mode. There will be three in total: Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg and Lady Dimitrescu. Dimitrescu’s imposing size will flow into the game.
The Winters expansion, and with it all the elements we told you about, will be available on October 28th, 2022 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC (Steam) and Stadia. These novelties will also be present in the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition.
