News culture The sequel to these 3 Marvel films will probably never appear: Disney is trying everything to save the MCU
Marvel wants to focus on guaranteed success and take fewer risks. Consequently, the House of Ideas would be willing to abandon its biggest failures, leaving them unfollowed.
Marvel’s Desert Crossing
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been in trouble for a few years now. It is a fact that the Maison des Idées is fighting to restart the machine and regain the phenomenal success of the Infinity War saga. A relative crossing of the desert, but one that continues to be significant for Marvel and Disney, while several superhero projects have failed to live up to the expectations set at the top. Take “The Marvels,” the most recent MCU project to date, which grossed just over $200 million at the international box office against an estimated total budget of $27 million. A bitter failure that follows those of The Eternals and especially Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania. In fact, Marvel decided to take drastic measures for these three films.
Rely on safe values
According to insider Alan Richtman, who regularly shares information about Marvel and DC, The Maison des Idées would have decided to minimize risks by focusing on safer projects and stopping the development of franchises that did not work in the past. In fact, the project was simply abandoned during development of The Eternals 2. The same goes for The Marvels 3 and Ant-Man 3, which will probably never see the light of day.
Marvel Studios is reportedly trying to take fewer risks and focus on more guaranteed hits.
There will be no films like “CAPTAIN MARVEL 3” or “ANT-MAN 4”.

Conversely, following the same logic, the most popular vigilante groups should be entitled to new, dedicated projects. Still, we feel like a change is starting to happen on the MCU side. New faces must make their appearance, like Deadpool, who will be joined by Wolverine in the next film, scheduled for this summer. This also applies to Fantastic Four, although the cast has already been announced. So we’ll have to wait a while until the MCU regains its color and returns to the top of the box office.
