Anyone who knows and loves Fallout: New Vegas has probably tried a run with the perk Wild wasteland tried. This can lead to some pretty strange and absurd encounters – for example, when aliens or a gang of grandmas armed with rolling pins show up.

Reading the synopsis for the new film starring Ella Purnell, you’d think the Lucy actress would have picked the Wild Waste perk too. Because Purnell is now starring in a new horror comedy in which she with a gang of killer squirrels gets to do.

Okey-dokey!

If you’re curious now, we have the official story summary for The Scurry for you here:

The story of The Scurry follows two pest controllers who are called to an eco-café in a country park to investigate what is initially thought to be a routine pest problem. But as night falls, an avalanche of deranged squirrels descends, wreaking vengeance and mayhem on the park’s staff and visitors.

With many deaths, the survivors seek refuge in the café when a freak storm knocks out power and communications, leaving them isolated and vulnerable.

An eclectic mix of survivors gathers pest controllers, a sullen teenager, hypocritical vegans and a drug dealer.

That sounds absolutely promising.

The Scurry is currently being filmed in the UK as a low-budget production. Olivia Cooke (House of the Dragon) was originally slated to star, but she had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. Ella Purnell will now take her place. Producer James Scott of Circus Studios announced this via Screendaily:

Fallout is the biggest TV series on the planet right now. The fact that their star is now taking part in our squirrel film is incredibly exciting for our production team and also for our international partners.

The Scurry is directed by Craig Roberts (Just Jim, Eternal Beauty). At the moment there is no trailer or a cinema release for Europey. Anyone who wants to see more of the Lucy actress after Fallout should definitely keep an eye on the absurd squirrel horror.
