Tomorrow, on April 23, 2020, the new Chapter 3 for Post Scriptum will be released. Among other things, you get the famous one in it Utah Beach as Maps
So if you want to look around for another option: Post Scriptum will be on Steam for tomorrow playable for four days free of charge.
There is still no D-Day in sight in Battlefield 5
Players were already amazed at the 2018 release that Battlefield 5 was not – we quote our article at the time about the World War I shooter – »Exhausted Normandy battles« wanted to put. Instead, rather unknown battles from World War II were dealt with.
But not all fans were happy with this: For years they have been discussing in the official forum, on Reddit or on YouTube whether they might eventually get to play D-Day. The forum post by »Woodlbrad« expressed his frustration, for example:
"Fortnite had a D-Day map before BF5 got it.
I think you can say that this WW2 title failed quite a bit. "
Most have already buried hope, but every little hint possible is carefully examined. While there is still no specific indication of a D-Day in Battlefield 5, Post Scriptum players now get several settings from Operation Overlord.
Utah Beach, Paratroopers & Bengal Tigers
From tomorrow you can three new maps games related to the storm on Normandy. In addition to Utah Beach, these are:
- Sainte-Mère-Église – A small town further inland. Allied battles with heavy German air defense took place here the night before the invasion.
- Carentan – Another city, located southwest of Utah Beach. 101st Airborne fights against the German paratroopers from the 6th regiment.
There are also new units, both on the German and Allied sides. Of the famous tank »Königstiger« was manufactured since 1943 and played an important role until the end of the war. Its front is thickly armored, so be careful not to attack it from the front.
The US Forces are also getting new vehicles, including the M10 "Wolverine" tank, the M8 reconnaissance aircraft "Greyhound" and the M18 "Hellcat" tank destroyer. A detailed overview of all innovations can be found on the Post Scriptum dev blog.
Free weekend and sale from tomorrow
In line with the start of the third chapter, starting on tomorrow, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. free weekend as well as a 25 percent sale on Steam. The Free Weekend ends at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. The sale continues until Monday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m.
Battlefield 5 is in such a bad shape right now: While CoD: Modern Warfare is celebrating huge successes, especially with the Battle Royale Warzone, Battlefield suffers from serious problems – deleted features, postponed updates and more.
