The Sims 4: New Feature reads like internet scam

On Thursday March 16, 2023 is the new add-on Growing together released for The Sims 4. The expansion delivers many new features that life simulation fans have been looking forward to for a long time.

Among other things, the improved family bonds are the focus of Growing Together, the new location San Sequoia is also perfect for families with its quiet neighborhood. But a new feature of the expansion is currently causing an unexpected amount of chaos for many players.

Grandchild trick or lost relatives?

On social media, The Sims 4 fans have one thing on their mind right now: What’s up with the mysterious text messages from lost relatives and long-forgotten friends?

With the new extension Living together you regularly get inquiries that initially seem like an attempt at fraud: a lost cousin suddenly contacts you and wants to move in with you for a few days. Can you trust her or does she clear the entire booth for you? That’s what Reddit user finallyizzy asks herself.

Another user advises her to be brave, throw any concerns overboard and the creepy weirdo be sure to invite.

Said and done: However, the guest behaves completely differently than one might think after such an unexpected message. Instead of a con artist, a lost relative actually appears who immediately empties the litter box – how useful!

The player Mayjamm has also received a message from a forgotten relative who looks like a spitting image of her Sim. But see for yourself:
