As the two companies have now communicated, more than 70 million players worldwide have now played The Sims 4. The fact that the base game has been available for free download since October 2022 also contributed to this. According to official information, more than 16 million players have taken advantage of this offer and downloaded the title free of charge. As a result, the average number of weekly users of the title has increased by a whopping 53 percent.
The game’s global growth is underscored by the fact that 75 percent of new players come from outside of North America. Accordingly, large increases can also be observed in Germany, Brazil, France, Poland and Great Britain. A number of gamers then used the more than 60 paid packs and sets.
