The Sims 5 is dead, long live The Sims 4. Maxis and EA have officially begun the conversion of the license, which will abandon numbered episodes in favor of experiences like the mysterious Project Rene, planned for PC, consoles and mobile phones. Despite being stored in the bottle for 10 years, the fourth part will always be the focus. The next DLC for The Sims 4 presents its gameplay
What better way to celebrate Halloween than to put on the Grim Reaper’s cape? This is one of the big additions to the next DLC, which will be released on October 31, 2024 on consoles and PC. The Sims 4 Life and Death offers players the opportunity to settle their characters in the disturbing kingdom of Ravenwood. A somewhat morbid place where they can explore three different neighborhoods, all of which have a connection to the transition between life and death… and what comes after. Phasmophobics are advised not to walk there, as it is not uncommon to encounter ghosts with unfinished business. Yes, a life is too short to do everything you want. So why should you take full advantage of it with the Soul Journey?
This comprehensive new reward system combines aspirations and desires by allowing your Sims to complete goals in hopes of winning the ultimate prize: the ability to be reincarnated after death with the Blazing Soul special trait. The Sims 4 Life and Death also implements a wish list once you reach young adulthood. Players can personalize it according to their wishes, otherwise the game will of course take care of it according to the characteristics of the Sims. A novelty that obviously comes with new interactions, including the possibility of writing a diary to unlock a new random objective. Again, the most industrious, those who have lived their lives to the fullest, will be able to be reborn as toddlers with skills from childhood and additional reward characteristics.
A career as a Reaper
The others will remain ghosts, but will be able to continue their soul journey to achieve a form of reincarnation that we are promised will be even more powerful. They may as well stay at home to wreak havoc or, on the contrary, help their offspring, or even meet up with their fellow spirits for a little spitting session. The big new feature of The Sims 4 Of Life, Death is obviously the two new careers. One allows you to work as an undertaker, the other allows you to become a future Reaper after assisting the great lady throughout her career.
